The Weeknd is updating fans on the health of his voice after he was forced to cancel a concert at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium after three songs. The artist also said his Toronto shows would stay and that his team was working on rescheduling the concert from last Saturday.

“The doctor says my voice is safe and if I rest I will be strong and be able to bring the show my fans have been waiting for in Toronto,” he said. The Weeknd was about 15 minutes into his concert when he left after saying he had lost his voice.

“I don’t know what happened … but I lost my voice,” he told the crowd. “It’s killing me, I don’t want to stop the show, but now I can’t give you the concert I want. I’ll make sure everyone’s okay, you’ll get your money back. Soon I’ll put on a real show for you. But I wanted to go out and apologize for person”.

He later posted a statement on social media, saying, “The sound was muted during the first song and I am devastated. I felt like it was gone and my heart was breaking. My heartfelt apologies to my fans here. You. I promise I will pay you with a new date ”.

The Weeknd will also appear on HBO an idol within this year.
