The British Film Institute (BFI) has added five experienced executives to its board of directors.
Join BFI President Tim Richards, CEO of Vue Film Chain: Monica Chada, Advisor and Advisor to the Board of Directors; Elizabeth Carlsen (Carol), producer and co-founder of Number 9 Films; Laura Myel, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Electronic Arts; Scott Stuber, director of Netflix Global Film; and writer, producer, and director Edgar Wright (child driver).
Each Board member will serve a four-year term from May 2022. New BFI Governors are currently being recruited, representing Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, the body said in a statement.
Quintet will join current BFI Presidents Michael Birshan, Idris Elba, Gary Fox, Jay Hunt, Robin Sanders, Andrew Smith, Phil Stokes and Nell Whitley.
Tim Richards, BFI President, said: “I am honored to welcome five incredibly talented new industry professionals to the BFI Board of Directors. These highly respected leaders will join the World Council, led by CEO Ben Roberts, reaffirming their commitment to the BFI and its vision.
