“RHOA” Alum NeNe loses lawsuit against Bravo and Andy Cohen after claims about racist environment on display

NeNe Leakes withdraws the lawsuit filed against Bravo Real Atlanta Housewives Executive producer Andy Cohen and the production companies behind the reality series.

“Leakes rejects this action and all claims made by Leakes without prejudice, thus ending this case in this court for the time being,” according to court documents obtained by Deadline. “All parties agree and approve the above release.” Neither party will seek recognition of legal fees or expenses in filing with this Court. “

The lawsuit was originally filed in April this year in federal court in Atlanta, where Leakes claimed to have worked in a hostile and racist environment. NBCUniversal, Bravo, the production companies True Entertainment and Truly Original and Cohen were named in the suit.

“NBC, Bravo and True promote a corporate and work culture in which racist and inappropriate behavior is tolerated, if not encouraged,” the lawsuit claims.

Leakes was one of the founding members of the Atlanta-based show and spent seven seasons on the series before making a guest appearance in season 8. He would return to the Bravo franchise in season 10 for another three seasons before leaving. Second time before season 13.

Costar Kim Zolciak-Biermann was named in the complaint citing multiple cases in which she made “racially offensive and stereotyped” comments to no avail.

Specifically, the court document states that the lawsuit was dismissed “without prejudice,” meaning Leakes can bring another lawsuit later with the same claims.

The losses did not immediately return fire. However, a new Instagram post from Atlanta Peach is being interpreted by many as a rejection of the lawsuit.

“I just want to smile,” read the caption.
