exclusive: BayView Entertainment today announced the acquisition of Vipco, a renowned British genre production and distribution company that started in the 1970s specializing in dark cult and horror films, which it will bring to the United States.

The UK distributor is currently managed by Terence Elliott and Peter Goddard, who will remain part of the company, with BayView Entertainment and Vipco working together to acquire and distribute horror titles in North America and the UK.
“Famous for its cult and horror releases, Vipco has brought many films to UK shores and has always captured my attention and admiration,” said Peter Castro, vice president of acquisitions at BayView. “Older horror fans will remember Vipco and we are thrilled to see them join the Bayview family here in the US.
Castro appointed Goddard as BayView’s new media director and Elliott as sales director, noting that “these staff additions will strengthen BayView’s in-house gender production and also provide us with a UK base of operations.”
