‘I want to grow up and be with my father every day’: Bella Hadid tells how she missed her father as a child

Recently it became known that Bella Hadid will be shooting her first movie! The model will star in the third season of the Hulu series Rami. As part of filming, the star gave an interview to GQ, where she admitted that as a child she wanted to spend more time with her father to get to know Muslim culture better (Bella’s father is Palestinian).

Recall that Bella’s parents got married in 1994, but after six years of marriage, Yolanda filed for divorce (as reported by her ex-husband Mohammed due to infidelities). They had to leave after that and Yolanda moved to Montecito with the kids (Bella, Gigi and Anwar).

“I broke up (from my father – Approx Ed.) when we moved to California,” Bella said. “I want to grow up and be with my father every day, to have the opportunity to study and really practice (religious rites – Approx. Ed.), to have the opportunity to live in Muslim culture, but they did not give. That’s it to me,” the catwalk star admitted.

Bella said she couldn’t hold back her tears when she saw a T-shirt with the words “Free Palestine” on it during the filming of the drama “Rami”. “I couldn’t deal with my feelings,” she added. “I was close with like-minded people. I could see myself.”
