Kanye West retires from the Coachella Music Festival

According to many media reports, Kanye West has left the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where he would be starring at both festival weekends.

There are no substitutes at this time and it is unknown why he refused. It was to be the title of each closing night on April 17th and 24th.

West threatened to leave the festival earlier this year after asking colleague Billy Elish to apologize to Travis Scott for what West said was Scott’s aunt.

This feud began when Elish stopped the show in Atlanta to ask her band to get an inhaler for a fan who was having trouble breathing in front of the stage. At the time she said, “I’m waiting for people to recover before continuing,” which was seen by some as Scott’s dissent after 10 people were killed at his Astroworld festival in Houston in November. She didn’t apologize to Scott. “He literally never said anything about Travis. “I was just helping a fan,” she said in response to criticism.

Vest, now legally called Ye, has been in the news several times in recent months, most of which included online attacks on Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson following Kardashian’s divorce from Vest. According to recent media reports, West told Kardashian that he would “seek help” and that he would not make “public appearances or incendiary statements on social media.”

TMZ was the first to announce the news.
