Björk’s daughter starred in fashion ad campaign for the first time

Isadora Bjakardottir Barney, the daughter of singer Björk and artist and director Matthew Barney, is the face of the Miu Miu campaign. Filming is dedicated to the extraordinary jewelery line created by artists Natalie Djurberg and Hans Berg. This is the first time a 19-year-old has collaborated with any fashion brand.

Directed by Julien Martinez Leclerc and styled by Lotta Volkova, Djurberg and Berg acted as artistic directors as well as creating colorful jewellery.
In the photo and video, Barney interacts with extraterrestrial creatures such as gorgeous birds and skeletal hands. Titled A Remedy, the collection is inspired by the artists’ 2015 series of Thief Caught in the Act sculptures, which depict strange birds stealing a small change from a table. Miuccia Prada, head of Miu Miu (Owned by Prada), has known the artists since 2005, and in 2008 her work was exhibited at the Fondazione Prada.

Despite the fact that Isadora first worked with a fashion brand, she has shooting experience: the girl has already starred in fashion magazines, and this year she made her debut, playing in the fantasy Varyag (her mother also played in the movie).
