Exclusive: Salon’s South Asian tutoring show featured the Class of 2022, led by Disney’s Reena Singh, Hillman Grad’s Rishi Rajan, WME agent Bash Naran, actor / writer Nick Dodan and actor / producer Vinny Chibber. .
Salon is a forum for South Asian artists and entertainment executives to connect and collaborate, share resources, facilitate mentoring, promote community advocacy, and grant grants. Its mission is to accelerate the creative development of South Asian television and film through community organization and empowerment.
This year’s writing mentors are Sabeh Jamiel and Jyotsna Suresh. Directed by Aksa Altafi and Kajal Patel. The executive directors and production mentors are Satinder Chokar, Shivani Doraiswamy, Anisha Joshi, Priyanka Kapoor, Ashley Mathew and Maansi Sunkara.

Mentors will work closely with their respective learners for one year to identify areas for growth, discuss career strategy, raise awareness and, most importantly, build community. Mentors will also have exclusive access to industry professionals and other educational programs hosted by The Salon.
