After the Oscars have already been brought home, Frank Herbert’s epic adaptation of Dennis Villeneuve Dune He went on to dominate the Academy Awards on Sunday when he received the Oscar for Best Visual Effects. The film appears to have been a firm favorite in the category ever since it received the grand prize at this year’s VES Awards gala.

Lambert began by thanking various people, including a director who wasn’t named best director, as well as visual effects companies.
“None of this would have been possible without the visionary Villeneuve,” said Miles. “VFX is the teamwork of hundreds of people around the world, so congratulations to all artists and productions.”
Other films in the running for the VFX award included two Marvel images: Shang-chi and the legend of the Ten Seals AND spiderman: no way home, as well as free boy AND There is no time for death.
It wouldn’t have been an Oscar without anyone, and Nefzer was the first victim of the night. But she took it to heart as she danced to the beat of the music before giving a loud applause: “Danke, thank you.”
