Archaeologists discovered the oldest nursing home

During the excavations in the Sea of Galilee, scientists from the University of Haifa discovered a unique finding – a mosaic with the inscription “Mir Old Man” in Greek. Archaeologists argue that these evidence shows the existence of one of the first nursing houses in history.

Framework from the movie “Night in the Museum”

According to Israeli national reports, the mosaic panel was at the entrance of the building that worked at the beginning of the IV and V centuries of our age, according to archaeologists. Michael Aizenberg, the president of the piles, said the work showed the existence of houses for the elderly during the early Christian period.

Archaeologists emphasize that the identified mosaic was the first important proof of the presence of such organizations about 1600 years ago. Most likely, he had dealt with monasteries and social structures in this activity, previously mentioned in the old written sources.

Meanwhile, Hermitage archaeologists discovered a unique finding for 7,000 years. In the Smolensk region, experts found a perfectly preserved wooden hand with a mysterious ornament. Artifact was found in the peat of Sertheus II and dates from the end of 5, the beginning of 4 thousand years BC.
