The man, who tried to sell the work, said he had discovered in an ordinary garbage dump and kept all these times in his closet. When the police presented him with documents that confirmed that the picture was listed in the sought -after list, he transferred him to the company.
Meanwhile, in 2022, the cost of Riopel 58 thousand dollars (about 4.6 million rubles- Approximately. Ed.). Now the cost will openly rise.
Note that the canvas was stolen from the gallery in Edmonton in December 2021. Later, the unknown attackers entered the room and performed several works of the artist. Despite the investigation, the case was suspended due to lack of suspicion.
