Scammers gradually master the telegram. They started sending Mamont Trojan people in APK file format disguised as a video. This was described in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, UBK.

According to the department, scammers ask “Are you in the video?” The file itself is often referred to as “video” but is actually stored within an application infected with a virus. When you press it, the program starts, which quickly accesses the victim’s personal photos, reads notifications, sends SMS and the Trojan to Telegram.
In this way, fraudsters want to steal money from bank cards and capture the user’s personal data to use in criminal schemes.
Recall that previous scammers sent the photo in the APK file containing the Trojan to their potential victims. And the attack was against the organization. Harmful documents were sent with a request to sign.
