Yura Borisov talked about his reaction after being nominated for an Oscar

All nominees for the 97th Oscars, which will be held on the night of March 2-3, have been announced today. One of the lucky ones was our beloved Yura Borisov, he was nominated in the “Best Supporting Actor” category for his role in Sean Baker’s movie “Anora”. The actor explained his reaction on Good Morning America.

He attended the show from the other side of the world. The actor was with his wife and two daughters: “It happened and you know I felt a lot of love everywhere, because probably 20 seconds later every single one of my friends wrote or called me and congratulated me. “This is a great moment, I can feel it from so many people who are happy about it.”

Yura also talked about what it was like for him to play a role written specifically for him: “It’s a very open process and I was very happy when we created it together. And this is very important. You know, what’s important to me is that we have each other in this life.”

Let us recall that Borisov was nominated for a number of prestigious awards for his role in the film “Anora”. These included the Golden Globes, Vancouver Film Critics Circle Awards, BAFTA and other ceremonies.
