This year the weather continues to surprise us – now more and more often we see rain instead of snow outside the window. Phobos weather center expert Evgeniy Tishkovets explained what the end of winter and spring will be like on his Telegram channel.
According to him, spring weather will come to Moscow earlier than planned. By the end of winter, the average temperature in the capital will be 5 degrees above normal: “According to preliminary forecasts, there will be no real winter! “The classic winter will go to waste and fade into oblivion.”
The forecaster said that Moscow is currently experiencing a “meteorological spring” in which the average daily temperature exceeds 0 degrees and the snow depth is five times lower than required for this period.
At the same time, Tishkovets noted that “winter surprises” with sub-zero temperatures and snow will still occur, but the situation will not change radically – heavy snowfalls and “serious snowdrifts” should not be expected. It is estimated that the average temperature will be 4 degrees above normal in March and 3 degrees in April.
