Unfortunately, we will not see Andrew Garfield in the new Spider-Man movie. The actor himself spoke about this.
Garfield, 41, tried to dispel rumors that he might return to the iconic role in an interview with GQ magazine. He understands that many people will not believe his words since he has already lied about returning to the project. “I will disappoint you. Yes, this is not true. But now I know that no one will believe what I say,” he said.
However, the actor will not hesitate to return to a big superhero or similar franchise in the future. “If it is in my soul and it gives pleasure. “Maybe one day I’ll have five kids and I’ll need to start saving for their education or something like that,” he added. Garfield also denied rumors that he would play Jesus in Martin Scorsese’s film: “There were rumors like that, but as far as I know, they’re not true.”
He also added: “I enjoy working too. “You can’t wait for Scorsese to call because he makes a movie every three years and most of the time they star Leo DiCaprio.”
It was previously known that Tom Holland would return to the role of Spider-Man in the new episode of the series. Rumor has it that the comic book movie will be released in the summer of 2026.
