Philip Yankovsky posted a photo of himself with Mark Eidelstein. The artists are shooting together in the second season of the TV series “Monastery”. Mark plays the novice Yura, and Philip plays Father Barsanuphius. The start of filming was announced in November.
Svetlana Ivanova (Varsonofy’s father’s ex-wife) and Diana Enakaeva (Alice, Varsonofy’s eldest daughter) also returned to their roles. The director of the second “Monastery” and co-writer of the script was Sergei Popov, and this will be his first experience as a series director.
In the continuation of the project, new characters played by Igor Vernik, Vlada Lukina and Polina Malikova will appear. According to the story, Mark Eidelstein and Philip Yankovsky’s characters will go to the big city to discover the world outside the monastery.
