The director of the scandalous movie “Bad Girl” starring Nicole Kidman revealed the secret of the thriller. It is associated with Stanley Kubrick’s final work.
Writer and director Halina Rein jumped at the opportunity to take Alice Harford’s story from Eyes Wide Shut in a unique way. In the cult film, Alice tells William (Tom Cruise) about her sexual fantasy of running away with a man she saw while on holiday. The confession confuses William and leads him down a dangerous path involving sex cults and murder.
Raine had always wondered what a movie with Alice living out her own fantasy might look like, so she wrote the script for Bad Girl.
“The difference is that in Eyes Wide Shut we follow Tom Cruise. We don’t even know what Alice is going through. We are completely in his mind, heart and soul. I want to know: “What if he walks away and actually lives out his fantasy?” This is my playful and humble response to an all-male movie,” Rain told Entertainment Weekly.
Halina said that from Alice’s fantasies she took the image of intern Samuel (Harris Dickinson), with whom the main character begins a relationship. He added that the film’s beginning and ending with the protagonist’s orgasm is a metaphor for sexual fantasy.
Nicole Kidman recently opened up about her sexuality. He admitted that he liked being seen as an object of desire. However, during the filming of Bad Girl, she even asked for a break. The star was very excited and tired of intimate scenes.
Previously, Nicole Kidman explained why she took part in Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut. The movie “Eyes Wide Shut” was released in 1999. It was Stanley Kubrick’s last project. The director died four months before the premiere.
