The haunted house where singer and actress Brittany Murphy died in 2009 and Britney Spears encountered “evil spirits” is up for sale for approximately $18 million (1.9 billion rubles – 1.9 billion rubles). Note ed.). The pop star claims the iconic Hollywood mansion was haunted and frightened her so much that she left the house and never returned, selling it fully furnished to Murphy in 2003.
Brittany spent her final days there before collapsing on December 20, 2009 and being later pronounced dead at the age of 32. Just five months later, her husband of 40 years, Simon Monjack, died in the same house.
Now, a listing on Zillow claims the spacious home has been “reborn” with a “complete metamorphosis,” including a new exterior design and other changes, the Daily Mail reports. Since Murphy’s death, which was caused by untreated pneumonia, anemia, and poisoning from prescription and over-the-counter medications, the house has been owned by multiple owners. The current owners purchased the property in 2020.
After Simon’s death, his mother, Linda Monjack, expressed concern that there was “too much mold growth” at the facility. “All I knew was that Simon hallucinated something coming out of his skin before he died,” he told the publication in 2013.
Murphy and Spears stated that they sensed something was wrong at the mansion. The pop star’s former makeup artist, Julianne Kay, recalled the incident that forced her to leave her home on the We Need to Talk About Britney podcast in February 2021. “He had a place in Sunset Plaza, and I just want to say that was really weird. “Britney called me… I asked my friend to give her a reiki session,” he said. “He stood up; I think he had a crazy weekend partying and needed some rest. He left and she swears to God that he opened some kind of spirit door or something and these evil spirits came in and tried to push her down the stairs,” Kay added.
The singer then took refuge in the Casa Del Mar hotel and never returned home. Murphy also felt uneasy and frequently expressed dissatisfaction with her husband.
Britney Spears previously explained why she moved to Mexico. Read the details here.
