The actor continues to share details about the sequel to the 2003 movie Freaky Friday. The sequel will be released on August 8, 2025. In this film, Lindsay Lohan’s character Anna Coleman will reunite with her high school garage band Pink Slip, which includes her friends Maddie (Christina Vidal) and Peg (Hayley Hudson). the star told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.
The announcement comes after Vidal and Hudson previously confirmed they would reprise their roles in the sequel. “We just finished shooting in August. Both Jamie and I laughed so hard just sitting at the table and reading the script. I don’t think we played well because we were too happy. But the movie is funny, really funny,” said Lindsay Lohan.
Jamie Lee Curtis previously told Entertainment Weekly that her on-screen daughter performed a sure-to-be “hit” song in the film: “I’m telling you, it’s going to be a huge hit. I’m not going to tell you what it’s called because we’re in production, but there are some old favorites in this movie.”
