This summer, a record number of marriages was recorded in the capital, more than 34 thousand. Moscow Deputy Mayor Anastasia Rakova spoke about this.

August is reported to be the most popular month. Around 13,000 new families were formed this month. According to Mos.ru, this is the highest number in the last decade.
The most popular venue was the Spiridonov mansion – 740 couples chose it. The second place is the Royal mansion; 705 new families registered there. “The third was the Opera House at the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve – 564 ceremonies were held here,” Rakova said. She added that the leaders are still wedding palaces No. 1 and 4, as well as the Shipilovsky Wedding Palace.
According to the deputy mayor, 37.6 percent of couples invited fewer than 20 people to their wedding, 30.6 percent shared the celebration with 20-50 guests, and only 5 percent invited 100 or more people to the celebration.
It was previously known that Russia would allow marriage using biometrics. Read the details here.
