“I was jealous of her. I thought she had the perfect life, as most of us do at some point in our careers. But I was really rooting for her,” Halsey told Paper.
The video and song caused mixed reactions. Even Britney Spears herself initially perceived the cover as an insult and mockery. However, she later confessed her love for Halsey and her work. However, the followers continued to persecute. It got to the point where the girl expressed regret about returning to the stage.
