Matthew Perry’s personal assistant pleaded guilty to murder in the Friends star’s death. She was arrested the day before.

Citing the Justice Department, PEOPLE writes that Kenneth Iwamasa is one of five people charged with crimes related to Perry’s death. Iwamasa admitted to repeatedly injecting Perry with ketamine without medical training. This also happened on October 28, 2023, the day of the actor’s death. Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife was previously suspected of murdering a celebrity.

The defendants named in the case are Jaswin Sanga, Dr. Salvador Plasencia, Mark Chavez and Eric Fleming. They are charged with conspiracy to distribute ketamine. They have partially pleaded guilty. Iwamase and Fleming face 15 to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty. Chavez and Sanga were sentenced to 10 years to life in prison.

Perry, 54, died of an accidental drug overdose on October 28. An autopsy showed the actor died from acute exposure to ketamine. Contributing factors included asphyxiation, coronary artery disease and side effects of other medications.
