This weekend, on August 3 and 4, the legendary return of the Afisha Picnic took place in Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium. Over two days, 80 artists performed on five stages. The festival was also attended by famous guests: Sofia Ernst, Yulia Koval, Stas Kruglitsky, Alexandra Revenko, Valeria Dergileva and others.
We danced to hits by PHARAOH, Nike Borzov, Tosi Chaikina, Loc-Dog, Antokha MC, Suzanne, Malbec and many more. Let’s not forget the “special” events of the picnic: two-hour LAB Show with Anton Belyaev and special guests (David Brown, Isaac Nightingale, Anastasia Sadkovskaya); karaoke on the giant screen of the main stage with FEDUK, a nostalgic musical journey through the history of the festival from Kito Jempere Orchestra; large-scale performance with couples from Husky; ARMICH’s first performance in Moscow and Nomad Punk’s first performance in Russia.
We were also impressed by the general atmosphere of the festival. We saw the giant unicorn #KOKON figure created by Russian artist Misha Libertee for the Burning Man’24 festival and an art object in the form of a composition made of poufs prepared by HSE Design School students.
We developed not only culturally. Various exhibitions and creative workshops were held on the festival grounds, as well as excursions. We could not miss lectures on music and art, parenting and business. And on the Planeta.ru site we participated in a discussion with leading crowdfunding experts to launch our own project in real time.
Free time from activities was spent in sports, relaxation and networking. We also visited the super final of the Strong Men League, the country’s and the world’s first national 3×3 wheelchair basketball tournament, with the participation of Russian basketball legends Andrei Kirilenko, Fedor Likholitov and Vladimir Dyachok.
Now we are in a hurry to St. Petersburg. After all, for the first time in the history of the Northern capital, the Afisha Picnic festival will take place there. On August 10-11, the LAB Show with Anton Belyaev, Dolphin, FEDUK, Mirèle, the LAUD group, PHARAOH and others will perform on Elagin Island. Food courts, a market and a children’s area will be open to you. You can see the detailed program of the upcoming event here.
