Robert Zemeckis brought together the “old guard” for his new project. Tom Hanks and Robin Wright, who starred in the director’s Oscar-winning film Forrest Gump, will star.
Zemeckis’ new project is called “Here”. Adapted from Richard McGuire’s comic book of the same name, published in 2014, the film takes place entirely in a living room for a hundred years. In this case, the camera remains in place throughout the entire film.

“This has never actually been done before. There were scenes like this in very old silent movies before the language of editing was invented. But other than that, yes, it was a risky venture,” the director told Vanity Fair in an interview.

Hanks and Wright, who play the leading roles, portray their characters from their teenage years in the 1960s to the late 80s. Zemeckis said that the idea for the film arose during his meeting with Tom Hanks. They discussed further collaboration and looked for original ideas.
