Eurovision winners sold their prizes for 900 thousand dollars. Money will be sent to Ukraine for help

Ukrainian band Kalush Orchestra, which won this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, sold the crystal microphone award for $900,000. The group shared this on Instagram.
The Kura was exhibited at an auction organized by the charitable foundation of Ukrainian TV presenter and volunteer Serhiy Prytula. Ukrainian cryptocurrency exchange became the buyer of the crystal microphone. The musicians plan to donate all the proceeds to help Ukraine. – wrote the musicians on the social network.
Earlier, the leader of the group, Oleg Psyuk, also announced that he would put up for auction the pink Panama hat he wore on stage at Eurovision.
The Eurovision Song Contest was held in Turin in mid-May. There were some scandals: delegations from Romania, Azerbaijan and Georgia accused the Eurovision organizers of changing the scores of the jury.
