Have you always been okay with your textured hair?
It took me a long time to understand the nature of my hair, and even longer to learn the right actions to enhance its texture. For years, I wisely followed the instructions of my mother, who had extremely fine and straight hair, that she instructed me to brush my hair every morning. Unsurprisingly, the result was catastrophic, so much so that during my studies I was nicknamed Hagrid, in reference to his shaggy haircut.
It wasn’t until the end of high school, around age 18, that I realized that my hair type was different from my mother’s and that my routine should be just as different..
After years of wandering, laziness and hesitation, and thanks to the birth of Tiktok and tutorials curly hair routineI’ve really accepted my curls by learning how to style them.
How would you describe the nature of your hair?
My hair is thick and very wavy (2C to 3A for some strands).

What is your hair routine when you wake up/in the morning?
Awakening : When I have time and desire, I refresh my hair. I spray a little water and apply Boost Curl Hair Jelly to redefine the most visible curls.
I apply the technique of finger coil on these curls which I then fix with linen gel.

Finger coiling is a hairstyling technique that involves defining curls of textured hair (curly, curly or kinky), strand by strand, with your finger. It involves wrapping a strand of textured hair around a finger to create well-structured, defined and uniform curls.
Most of the time I’m late for work, so I don’t take the time to do something Reload ; I just tie my hair up.

What is your possible hair routine before bed?
Evening : if I’m alone or have just finished my routine, I tie my hair at the top with a large fabric elastic and cover this palm with a silk cap.
If my partner is at home and it wasn’t my routine day, I simply tie my hair in a palm on the top of my head, without wearing a hat.
What’s your shampoo routine when you’re short on time?
When I don’t have time, I apply a shampoo with a good composition. I rinse and add a few drops of conditioner with a good composition. At this point I untangle my hair. I don’t leave the conditioner on for very long. I only use it for as long as it takes to detangle my hair.
What is your shampoo routine when you have a lot of time, if it is different from the previous one?
When I have a lot of time, I shampoo, rinse and apply a conditioner that I don’t leave on for very long (2 minutes maximum).
I rinse, apply Boost Curl jelly and come crunch. I dry with a diffuser.
What’s your go-to hairstyle for those days when your hair isn’t cooperating?
When my curls look anything but curls, I usually do a high ponytail.

What’s your go-to sports hairstyle?
When I play sports, I tie my hair in a ponytail and do not apply specific treatments or products.
What’s your hairstyle for special occasions?
For events that are important to me, I make sure to do my entire routine the day before or the same day to get beautiful, defined waves.
