He finally returned to his duties in January, despite the school being on lockdown with students.

After learning of his dismissal before a court, the director of Sciences Po Paris finally decided to submit his resignation.

“Let’s preserve the institution”

“I learned that my ex-partner and I have been referred to the criminal court”writes in an email sent internally, consulted by our colleagues at Franceinfo. “This is the conclusion of an investigation, conducted by the police station of the 7th arrondissement of Paris, without any complaint ever being filed, by either party. »

“As director of Sciences Po (…), my person matters less to me than the institution, which is why I have decided, to preserve it, to resign from my position as director of the Paris Institute of Political Studies and administrator of the National Political Science Foundation, he said. He also continues to firmly deny the accusations against him, and says he is convinced of this “justice will establish the reality of the facts”.

The management of Sciences Po Paris, for its part, has announced that a “in the next few days a provisional administration will be appointed (…) until the next management is appointed”.

The day before, the institution was at the center of unrest after the occupation of an amphitheater in support of Gaza. The students of the bloc allegedly barred access to a member of the Union of Jewish Students of France (UEJF), provoking the indignation of several members of the majority, including Aurore Bergé. The blockade was condemned by the management who reported it “intolerable actions”.
