Nothing stops them American dream. After winning the coveted Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, Justine Triet and Arthur Harari, the French filmmaker and co-writer duo behind the puzzle with the drawers ofAnatomy of a fall are courted by all of Hollywood.
Spielberg asks “ a scenario of this level of complexity.“
The depth of the plotAnatomy of a fall it fascinated spectators even in the highest echelons of Hollywood, even arousing desires for collaboration among the master Steven Spielberg. Justine Triet and Arthur Harari confirmed this on Canal+ on the red carpet of the Oscars. The latter explained that he had a long discussion with the director, before the latter told them:
“ I wish you would write to me one day a scenario of this level of complexity. Then I fell off my chair and said to him: “ But Truly ?“. He told me Yes, yes. »
Justine Triet confirmed her partner’s comments, having fun:
” They (Steven SpielbergEditor’s Note) he commissioned us to write a screenplay, it’s the most absurd thing we’ve ever experienced. What he liked about the film was the very popular side, obviously that was a nice compliment for us. »
A new French film, but with an international cast?
But then, the success ofAnatomy of a fall seals the end of his career in France French Justine Triet? The question arises all the more as Steven Spielberg is not the only one who has ambitions of collaboration with the director of The Battle of Solferino, Victory OR Sibyl. On February 1st, Variety revealed that the filmmaker was now one of the talents defended by the prestigious Creative artists agency among artists like Beyoncé, Pedro Pascal, Salma Hayek or Brad Pitt.
In an interview for RTL, the film’s producer Marie-Ange Luciani gave a little preview of Triet’s next projects, who, fortunately, is not finished with French cinema yet. She reports:
“ The next film, her (Justine Triter, ed.) he wants to do it in France. Maybe take advantage of all these meetings to join an international cast like she did in Anatomy of a Fall. Maybe push it even further. But on the other hand I don’t think he’ll tour the US right away. He knows very well where he is. (…) At this moment I am not afraid that it will escape us. »
While waiting to find out more about Justine Triet’s next projects, Hollywood and otherwise, we can only advise you to discover these first three films first. Anatomy of a fall. To start with The Battle of Solferino which, since 2013, has sealed the advent of a great filmmaker.
