Updated: Former President Barack Obama was among a team of media, political and entertainment voices who voiced their outrage at the ongoing school massacre.
In a long series of thoughts posted on Twitter, Obama said he and his wife, Michelle, were angry at the victims’ families. The former First Lady later published her post.
“About a decade after Sandy Hook and ten days after Buffalo, our country was paralyzed,” he wrote, “not because of fear, but because of lobbyists and political parties unwilling to act in any way that might help.” “Avoid these tragedies.”
He continued: “Time for action, any action is gone. And this is another tragedy that awaits families for another day, quieter but no less tragic. ”
Across the country, parents drag their kids to bed, read fairy tales, sing lullabies, and worry about what might happen tomorrow after their kids leave school or go to the supermarket. Store or other public place.

The response to the current abusive behavior at Robbie Elementary School in rural Uvalde, Texas, has been swift and heartfelt, with many online responding with “thoughts and prayers” on Twitter in return for a call to action against gun violence in the country.
Here is a sample of the reactions from the media and Hollywood circles:
14 children and 1 teacher. There are no words. And no action was taken.

Two days of anger on Twitter isn’t stopping him. When you enter the voting booth this fall, vote for gun control.

Vote because your children’s lives depend on it. დეHow much longer? DO SOMETHING https://t.co/IA9Di6ALjG

Nothing has been done to repeat a school-like massacre since Sandy Hook.
Now repeated. The murder of children in schools should not be a political issue. Please America, stop the guerrilla agitation and do something to stop it.-Pierre Morgan (@pierremorgan) 24 May 2022
There is no defense, no explanation, no excuse not to bring up the gun issue right away. Leadership in this country pampers our children! Vote for them all! Both sides. And I want to tell these leaders to get rid of themselves and do something!

I know. And now the politicians will come out and lie and say we are doing something about it this time! But they know they can’t. The Democrats are not in a position to fight the NRA, as the Republicans are not lacking and until Buckley and Vallejo are replaced. https://t.co/BpizHxNgpE

Are you happy now, Governor Abbott? I think you. https://t.co/cKJNgHd2wj

No one dares to make “thoughts and prayers”. We will continue. We need a reasonable gun law like any other rational country.

Jesus Christ.
Another mass shooting in America.
This time in elementary school.
How many Americans, how many little children must die before they say enough is enough and kick those who stand in the way of gun reform?– Anna Navarro-Cárdenas (@ananavarro) 24 May 2022
In covering the story of the Texas Tragic School shooting, remember that the NRA released this yesterday: They’re meeting in *Texas* next Friday and personally the keyword there will be *Trump*.

God help us and help Uvalde, Texas. May God help the victims and their loved ones and pray for their souls at this time. May Allah help our sick country. May Allah have mercy on us all.
There is pure and unbridled evil in this world.

.. Pray to Heaven for anyone who has a child at school these days.

Republicans will force you to have your child, but they will do absolutely nothing to protect it.

– Stephen King (@StephenKing) 24 May 2022
damn it @NRA Hell to you, all the elected officials who voted for gun reform. damn it @GregAbbott_TX And damn, all the Republican voters who claim to “support life” but didn’t lie to people when they were born. You are ignorant and complicit.
– Richard Marx (@richardmarx) 24 May 2022
As a nation, we care more about the brawling stars in the courtroom than the kids who die in the classroom. And all of you who claim to be supporters of life, where is your compassion for the children who die every week in this country with the military grade rifles you cherish?
-Josh Gad (@joshgad) 24 May 2022
We must do everything we can to stop the shooting and killing spree of children. And anyone who claims to be a defender of life but refuses to support gun safety laws that would certainly reduce the killing of innocent children is a liar and hypocrite.
