“Obesity is a disease”: Oprah Winfrey talks extreme weight loss

Recently, Oprah Winfrey greatly surprised her fans with the changes in her appearance. The journalist showed at one of the social events that she lost a lot of weight. She apparently lost 18 kilos and now she gave an interview to People and talked about it.

“It was like a public contest to make fun of me for 25 years. I was blamed and ashamed, I blamed and shamed myself. “I was on the cover of a magazine and it said: ‘Stunty, sloppy and totally weird.’ I didn’t feel angry. I was sad. It hurt. I swallowed the shame. I accepted it was my fault,” he openly admitted.

Winfrey also explained why she started taking weight-loss medications: “I knew about weight-loss medications, but I felt like I had to prove that I had the willpower to do it.” [похудеть] by himself.
