James Cameron won’t stop here! The fact that “Avatar: The Path of Water” surpassed “Titanic” at the international box office and became the third highest-grossing film in history clearly leads to the production of two more parts of the film.

The great director gave many interviews in which he shared details about the shooting of the third and fourth parts of the film. “A great creative achievement in Avatar 3″ will have more character depth. <…> The whole idea of this movie series is to live with these people and go on this epic journey with them. So I think it’s not about saying, “We’re going to show you the best thing that’s ever been done in water,” but about getting deep into the hearts and souls of the characters. There are also some very interesting new characters introduced. This is time travel. The third movie will continue with the fourth and fifth movies. There’s an epic cycle to all of this,” Cameron told GQ.

The director also said that during the filming of the third episode, the team was also filming part of the fourth episode because “all the young characters are going to make a big jump in time”, “we see them and then we leave for six years and come back.”
