Teton Ridge Entertainment Names Jen Gorton Executive Vice President of Production and Development

EXCLUSIVE: Teton Ridge Entertainment has hired Jen Gorton as EVP of production and development.

Gorton is part of the new team assembled by president Jillian Share for the new studio, which focuses on projects that celebrate and amplify stories of the American West.

The Share team also includes Brandon Mattingly and Christina Poray, Vice Presidents of Production and Development, and Madeleine Moore, Chief Creative Officer.

Gorton will work with Share to oversee the creative development and production of their films, television shows and new media.

Most recently, Gorton served as EVP of Film Production at eOne, where she oversaw development and production and negotiated worldwide distribution deals for films including: The star (on Netflix) starring Melissa McCarthy and directed by Ted Melfi, horror prequel Orphan: First kill (Paramount) and nominated for an Oscar Mrs. Harris goes to Paris (Focus functions). She also oversaw the company’s upcoming films The Thieves 2: Panterawith Gerard Butler and Arthur the King, with Mark Wahlberg and Simu Liu. Gorton was EVP Production and Sales at Sierra/Affinity, where she worked on more than 100 titles, including Oscar-winning films Whiplash, Me, Tonya; headlights, And Manchester by the sea as well as Oscar nominees Come hell or high water, Molly’s gameAnd Mothand hit the cash register Scary stories to tell in the darkproduced by Guillermo del Toro and Atomic blonde, starring and produced by Charlize Theron. She was the sixth employee hired at Sierra and was instrumental in shaping the company as a creative leader in packaging and sales.

Mattingly previously worked in drama development at ABC Entertainment and worked in the International Originals group at Netflix on series for India and the Middle East. He began developing scripts at Freeform just as the cable network was transitioning from its previous incarnation to ABC Family.

Poray previously worked at AfterShock Comics, where she focused on adapting their IP library, such as: Destroyed by blood And A calculating man. In addition to projects for the US market, she and Carrie Stein have secured global co-productions and series in local languages. Prior to AfterShock, Poray worked with Aaron Kaplan at Kapital Entertainment (producer of the hit series).A million little things,Santa Clarita Diet AndAmerican housewife). She started as an assistant at Circle of Confusion before joining Skybound Entertainment.

Moore worked at Share for several years, first as an assistant at Heyday, then expanding her responsibilities at eOne and now at Teton Ridge as a creative manager.

Teton Ridge Entertainment will produce films, television series, podcasts and new media, both scripted and unscripted. The company is a division of Teton Ridge, the first omnichannel company comprised of a portfolio of brands focused on diverse facets of the American West, led by newly appointed CEO Deirdre Lester. Investors include Thomas Tull, Guggenheim Partners, Jim Breyer and the Lee Bass family office.
