When I don’t know what to make for dinner, fried tagliatelle are the wild card I use almost every time. Easy to prepare, they require only a few basic ingredients to be truly delicious but can also be used in any type of preparation: julienned carrots or peppers, mushrooms, ginger, eggs, tofu, meat, etc.
Here we offer you a sweet and savory version to be adapted according to your desires with complementary ingredients.
Ingredients for fried sesame tagliatelle (for 2 people)
- 200 g of nest tagliatelle
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil (or another canola or sunflower oil if you don’t have one)
- 2 tablespoons salted soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons tahini (or, failing that, unsweetened peanut butter)
- 2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds
- 1 clove of garlic
The recipe for fried sesame tagliatelle
- Start by cooking the tagliatelle according to the instructions on the package and drain them at the end of cooking.
- Chop the garlic clove. Heat the sesame oil in a pan or wok and brown the garlic over high heat.
- Prepare the sauce for the fried tagliatelle: in a small bowl, dilute the tahini in the two soy sauces, sweet and salty. If the sauce seems a little thick you can add a spoonful of water, which will evaporate during cooking, but will help to cover the tagliatelle better.
- Once cooked, pour the noodles and sesame seeds into the pan, add the tahini and soy sauce. Cook for 1 or 2 minutes over low heat, stirring.
- Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and serve immediately. If you like to eat spicy food, you can top these fried noodles with sriracha-like sauce. Enjoy your meal !
