CNN has set a premiere date of November 29th King Charlesthe primetime limited series hosted by Gayle King and Charles Barkley.
The show airs Wednesdays at 10pm ET, but the second week will air an hour earlier due to the GOP debate on December 6th.
In a promo, King called the show “our unfiltered look at the biggest stories of the day.”
The show’s creation came during the tenure of Chris Licht, the former CNN boss who was fired in June. Licht sought to bolster the network’s primetime programming with star personalities, even if that meant primetime shows only once a week. MSNBC has already done this, with The Rachel Maddow Show will now only perform on Mondays after Maddow signed a new contract that eliminates her regular appearances.
King will co-host her role of CBS morningas well as her SiriusXM show, while Barkley continues to serve as an analyst for Inside the NBA on TNT.
