Colombian actor Kevin Munoz, who has appeared on Netflix and Apple TV, is found bound and tortured to death

A Colombian actor who starred in a Netflix film and an Apple TV series was found dead with his hands and feet bound.

The body of Kevin Andres Munoz Tovar was found Monday in La Playita, in the Colombian city of Tulua.

Local media reported that the actor was found with his hands and feet tied and suffered multiple machete injuries in what appeared to be torture.

According to local police, a 19-year-old teenager, whose name has not yet been released, was arrested as a suspect.

Major Nicolas Guillermo Suarez Plata of the Tulua Police District said: “The Valle Police report that, thanks to timely information from citizens, an operational police operation led to the arrest of a 19-year-old man,” who is a a few minutes earlier, involved in the murder of Kevin Andres Munoz Tovar, a famous actor from a Colombian film would have been involved.

“The individuals who caused the injuries then fled the scene, but thanks to information from the community, one of them was caught.”

Tovar appeared as a supporting actor in the 2020 Netflix film “Lavaperros”, which was called “Dogwashers” when it was released to Western audiences and directed by Carlos Moreno and focused on the conflict of a man in financial difficulties with a loan shark focused on finding something to kill him.

He also participated in the Apple TV series “Echo 3”, in which he also had a supporting role.

The series is about an American scientist who is kidnapped in Colombia and her husband and brother’s efforts to rescue her.

The motive for the murder is unknown and the investigation continues.

Since news of his death broke, tributes have been pouring in for the dead star.
