This year’s winners of the Camerimage Film Festival in Toruń, Poland, were announced on Saturday The new boyWarwick Thornton’s drama about a local boy who is taken to a mysterious, remote monastery and takes home the grand prize.
Poor stuffSearchlight’s Yorgos Lanthimos drama, starring Emma Stone, won the festival’s audience award, which focuses on the art of cinematography.
Camerimage’s Golden Frog is widely considered an Oscar front-runner, with three of the last five Golden Frog winners going on to receive an Oscar nomination in the cinematography category. These titles include Lion (2016), joker (2019) And Nomadland (2020).
