The spectators of The crown have been holding their breath for a long time waiting for a particularly difficult sixth season. The latter is in fact entirely focused on one of the most traumatic media events of the late twentieth century: the death of Lady Diana.
“It only takes a minute” to realize the hell that Diana went through
It fell to the actress Elizabeth Debicki, in the cast of the series since the fifth season, the heavy task of playing the princess. American media Expiration revealed that the actress had lived Lady Diana’s nightmare on set. He was particularly pursued by a crowd of actors playing paparazzi and explained that it was enough “just a minute” realize what this experience was “absolutely unbearable”.
And for good reason: the atmosphere on set was simultaneously characterized by meticulousness “heavy, very maniacal” to respect the memory of the princess, but also for that experience “incredibly engaging”.

Elizabeth Debicki didn’t even need to “act”
Evoking these scenes which recreated the media uproar suffered by Diana, the actress explained that she had the feeling that yes I didn’t even need to act, “because it’s really horrible to have so many people yelling at you. » She added:
“No one should ever have to experiment what it feels like to shoot the daytime scenes in Paris, to move from place to place and have this swarming around you. You feel very trapped. It’s a really unpleasant experience. »
Before the airing of the sixth season, Netflix had made it known that Lady Diana’s death would not be represented on screen for ethical reasons, so as not to reproduce the horror of the accident on the screen. To offset the tragic burden, the actress said she worked with the director to create a positive and joyful environment in the first part of the season, particularly in familiar scenes.

If the first part of season 6 had been released Thursday 16 November on Netflixyou will have to wait until December 14th ahead to discover the last six episodes of the series.
