A man jumped to his death from a Disneyland parking garage Wednesday, marking the third such incident at the Anaheim park in less than a year, police said.
A caller notified police around 9:30 p.m. that a person had jumped from the Pixar Pals building on Magic Way. Officers found a man dead at the scene and launched a suicide investigation. A spokeswoman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said the coroner’s office identified him as Jonah Edwards, 24. No further details have been released.
The death comes about nine months after an Arizona woman died after jumping or falling from the park’s Mickey and Friends building. This incident occurred just weeks after a man in his 50s fell from the same six-storey complex in December 2022. Anaheim police said both cases were likely suicides.
The Pixar Pals building opened in 2019 and the Mickey and Friends site – one of the largest in the US – has been in operation since 2000. Half a dozen people have died in the past 13 years jumping from the Disneyland Resort’s various parking lots.
