EXCLUSIVE: Cameras are on The Ballad of Hortensiaa body swap comedy from Premiere Entertainment set in El Salvador, starring Francisco Gattorno (Julian Schnabels). Before the night falls) and Helena Haro (Black guarantee).
Arturo Menendez (Malacrianza) directs the film from a screenplay by Javier Reyna, based on a story by Yudice and Menendez. Julio Yudice, best known in El Salvador for his satirical portrayal of an indigenous woman named La Tenchis, also stars.
The plot follows the life of a narcissistic male comedian (Yudice) who wakes up in the body of the opposite sex after a car accident. The fantasy comedy is produced by Elias Axume, with Carlos Rincon and Lizzy Gonzalez serving as executive producers for Premiere Entertainment. Marvin Galeas is the co-producer.
The photo continues Premiere’s work in El Salvador Fireflies in El MozoteA Salvadoran civil war epic with Bob Yari (Crash, Yellowstone), which is in post-production and development. The company is also in development on the Salvadoran spy thriller Curfew.
Lead actor Gattorno has been a staple of Mexican soap operas for over 25 years, most recently in “El Señor de los Cielos” and “La Desalmada”. Haro is best known for her recurring role on the Amazon series El Juego de las Llaves and will star in the upcoming crime thriller Desert Dawn with Kellan Lutz.
The premiere slate includes the romantic comedy “Plan B” starring Jon Heder; the supernatural thriller Nefarious, which earned $5.4 million at the US box office; the action superhero Sri Asih, released on Disney+ in Asia; and the crime thriller “What Remains”, starring Kellan Lutz and Anne Heche.
