The return of our favorite pest, Regina George, is on the horizon with the restart From Bad Girls. Get ready to go back to school, but this time in music. The new version of films for teenagers will be less inspired by the 2005 film than by the musical launched on Broadway in March 2018 by Tina Fey, the film’s screenwriter.
Getting away from the clichés of the past fatphobia, the invisibility of queer characters and sexism, if you want some, here it is: the new version promises it reigniting the nostalgic flame while offering a more inclusive and feminist experience.

At the helm of this new version, we will find the screenwriter of the original teen film, Tina Fey, who will once again occupy the role of screenwriter, but also of producer. The film will mark the directorial debut of American director Arturo Perez Jr. and Samantha Jayne. They will star Cady Heron, a new student brought into contact with the social elite of her high school, the popular girls called “The Plastics”, led by their queen Regina George and her servants Gretchen and Karen.
But when Cady develops a crush on Aaron, she doesn’t immediately realize she’s just made a big mistake…her new best friend will soon turn into an enemy. Cady sets out to overthrow the established order with the help of her underdog friends, Janis and Damian. Will he be able to impose his rules in the merciless jungle of high school?
