Family patriarch Jack Adkisson was a football player for the Dallas Texans before making his mark in the ring. Everything changed after moving to Canada, where the athlete met the outstanding wrestler Stu Hart, who saw his potential as a wrestler. He was really lucky thanks to his tall height (1.9 meters, weight 117 kilograms) and athletic physique.
At the beginning of his career, he came up with the gimmick (that is, the image of a wrestler) of the bloodthirsty Nazi Fritzafon Erich, which attracted public attention. During matches, his face and hands were always stained with blood (he was said to have deliberately smeared his face with a razor to scare the enemy, others claimed that the blood flowed from the opponent’s blows and nails).
Additionally, Adkisson-Erich developed the Iron Claw postprocessor, which translates sounds as “iron claw” or “steel grip”. He will also pass this signing ceremony on to his only and beloved wife, Doris Smith, and their children born from the marriage. Intoxicated with success, von Erich started a real business by teaching wrestling to his sons.
Many believe that a curse hangs over Atkissons due to his trickery. Three of the six sons committed suicide, one died of acute intestinal inflammation, and the firstborn, Jack, died of electrocution at the age of six.
