TCCF: Taiwan’s DaMou Entertainment teams up again with Warner Bros.  Discovery on ‘Fired Up!’;  The world between our S2 cast revealed

Warner Bros. Discovery is once again partnering with Taiwanese production company DaMou Entertainment to produce an original for HBO Asia Set on fire! (working title), an adaptation of the popular Cocoa webtoon Itaewon class.

The two companies have previously collaborated on award-winning Taiwanese drama series The world between us And Employees.

Set on fire! is also produced by Koko Entertainment, a company founded in 2021 by DaMou Entertainment and Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), whose credits include horror dramas Urban horrorplay Before obsolete and musically Don’t cry, dancing girls.

The start of production is planned for December 2023. Set on fire! Eric Chou plays a young man fighting to save his family’s restaurant and searching for the truth about his father’s tragic death.

Directed by Kao Pin-chuan and Tseng Ying-ting, the series also stars Angela Yuen, Shao Yu-wei, Huang Guan-zhi, Cosmos Lin, Ben Wu and Sean Lin. The show is written by Chien Li-ying, whose credits include the hit Netflix show Golf makeralso produced by DaMou Entertainment.

Created by GwangJin from Korea, click on the Kakao webtoon Itaewon class has also been adapted into a popular Korean-language series by Netflix.

Currently celebrating its tenth anniversary, DaMou Entertainment announced its upcoming programming during the ongoing Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF) in Taiwan.

The Taipei-based company also announced the cast for the second season The world between usDirected once again by Golden Bell award-winning director Lin Chun Yang, the film stars Vic Chou, Simon Hsueh, Nikki Hsieh, Yang Kuei Mei and Sara Yu.

Taiwan’s public service television and Catchplay are teaming up again with DaMou Entertainment on the sequel, which also begins filming in December. Written by Golden Bell Award winner Lu Shi-yuan, the show spans three different time periods and addresses social issues such as public health, law, politics and mental illness.
