Textile workers on strike for a salary of 190 euros
As reported Franceinfo, the Bangladeshi government created a wage commission in the spring to reevaluate them, ten years after the Rana Plaza collapse that left more than 1,000 dead. But these would be just empty promises.

According toAFPseveral Western brands expressed concern to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina that workers’ salaries had not increased since 2019, despite inflation.
Waiting for this revaluation which does not arrive (23,000 taka or €190 per month is required instead of the current €70), violent clashes broke out between the police and the small hands of Bangladesh. According to local police, nearly 5,000 workers set up checkpoints in the capital’s Mirpur district. Fashion network. But according to theAFP, this number would be vastly underestimated.
