EXCLUSIVE: PR and marketing veteran Melissa Sun has joined Rosenfield Media Group (RMG PR) as SVP, Purpose.
The addition of Purpose complements RMG PR’s existing departments focused on entertainment, business, sports and live events.
Sun has nearly twenty years of experience in agency and in-house communications and marketing roles. She will lead RMG’s new PR department, which will focus on representing nonprofits, brands and talent
and entertainment companies that live and function in the social and political sphere. This includes brand communications, media strategies, talent and partner activations, and special projects (eg establishing advisory boards and covert campaigns).
Son brings an impressive roster to RMG PR, including Sierra Club, the largest environmental organization in the United States; Good Energy, the climate writing consultancy; Beyond Advisers, the social impact architects
behind the Clinton Foundation and the Will & Jada Smith Family Foundation; United Nations Association of New York and more.
Sun will work closely with RMG PR’s Amanda Brocato to expand the company’s slate of targeted events, which already includes Daymond John’s Black Entrepreneurs Day; “The Event” from the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation; and the University of Texas Ransom Center Gala. Sun also focuses on nurturing RMG PR’s targeted entertainment clients, including TV, film, podcast and production companies.
