A new day means a new scandal in the fashion industry. This time sneaker store Nikita Efremov is under the spotlight. If you don’t know what’s going on, we’ll tell you. At the end of last week, a video appeared on the AndrewMADEit YouTube channel in which the author accuses the brand team of selling fake products, rudeness and overinflated prices. In the video, the blogger compares the pair in storage with the pair on display, shows the shoe boxes, and claims that the sneakers can be purchased on Chinese marketplace Poizon.

To understand the situation, we decided to contact Nikita Efremov’s representatives and request comments. “There have never been and will never be non-original products in Nikita Efremov stores. All products in our stores go through several stages for authenticity: at the time of purchase and when they come into stock. In the next video on our YouTube channel we will show in detail all the stages of purchasing and checking a product. This process was created by Nikita Efremov’s team over several years – frankly, we could not falsify it in a few days,” commented Nikita Efremov’s representatives.

They also revealed that prices for Nike pairs at retail range from $90 to $150. In addition, due to conditions in the resale market, including changes in exchange rates and the unstable situation in the world, the price of sneakers increases significantly.
“The quality of the products is determined by their manufacturers. This is confirmed by the sneakers displayed on the shelves of the world’s largest second-hand stores. We check that each pair complies with the standards of Nike, New Balance, Adidas and other brands. But during the testing phase of new sneakers, it is almost impossible to predict how their materials will behave when worn. However, if, upon receiving your purchase, you notice damage or discrepancies in the quality of the goods, then you can return the pair to any of our stores within 14 days,” the representatives add.

Regarding the video that created a buzz around the brand, the team says it is nothing but “fake and a blogger’s attempt to gain popularity at someone else’s expense.” By the way, to prove the opposite, the Nikita Efremov brand team stated that they are ready to show everyone every pair from their store warehouses.
Also yesterday, an official statement on behalf of Nikita was published on Nikita Efremov’s YouTube channel.
