La Redoute rethinks La Reboucle, its second-hand offer proposed by professionals

Do you swear by Vestiaire Collective, Depop or even Vinted for second hand clothes? Or Selency and LeBonCoin for decoration and second-hand furniture? Another player intends to establish himself by leveraging his historical reputation: La Redoute, with his side La Reboucle.

You may not know it, but La Redoute has been offering second-hand clothing since 2021. Initially offered by individuals for individuals, the offer is now extended to professional sellers. Through La Reboucle you will therefore be able to find products selected by La Redoute and its partners such as Smala (children’s fashion), Omaj (women’s fashion) DeBonGout (furniture and decorations), Rediv (men’s, women’s and children’s fashion) or Crushon (men’s fashion and woman) in (very) good condition or new, and be able to return them, if necessary, within 30 days (which is more complicated on other second-hand platforms between private individuals).

We also appreciate the possibility of combining first-hand and second-hand pieces in one order, whether it is clothing and accessories for men, women, children or even decoration! In a context of inflation that especially affects the most precarious French people, the deputy director general of La Redoute presents this revision of La Reboucle as a possible solution to avoid exploding its budget:

“La Reboucle offers the best way to save money. Our role, as the lifestyle platform of choice for families, is to combine a CSR approach [responsabilité sociétale des entreprises, ndlr] and purchasing power. We rethought this experience by putting ourselves in the shoes of our customers, who are already very busy shopping for second-hand goods. This service from C to B to C [consumer to business to consumer, c’est-à-dire de particulier à entreprise à particulier, ndlr], which fits perfectly with La Redoute’s CSR policy, brings a different offer within the e-commerce ecosystem, thanks to the referencing on our platform of trusted professional sellers, carefully crafted by La Redoute. »
