The (very) easy meringue recipe

Do you have spare egg whites and don’t want to waste them? Well, let’s prepare the meringues!

Have you tried all our recipes and still have egg whites left? This is the perfect opportunity to make super easy soft and crunchy meringues, because we’re not here to suffer, okay?

The very simple meringue recipe

To make this recipe (about 10 meringues), you will need:

  • 125 g of sugar
  • 2 egg whites

Start by preheating the oven to 120°C. Pour the egg whites into a salad bowl and whip them until stiff (use an electric whisk if you don’t want cramps). Then, very slowly, add the sugar to the whipped egg whites.

Then, place mounds of mixture on a baking tray covered with baking paper and, in an instant, it will cook for 30 minutes – an hour. Little tip: after 30 minutes of cooking your meringues will be white and soft. After an hour they will be pink and crispy, with a meltable center.
