Here’s the order in which to apply your skincare routine for maximum benefits

Are you wondering in what order you should apply your treatments? We help you free yourself from this burden!

The order of application of beauty products can be a real headache especially when you start to have a full routine.

For example: the serum, should we put it before or after the day cream? What happens if I put night cream on in the morning? And the lotion, should we apply it before or after the cleanser? So let’s not even talk about the eye contour or the anti-imperfection treatment which are complementary products whose order of application can be questionable.

Ok, enough chatter, let’s get started?

First step of the skincare routine: make-up remover

Even if the only thing you put on your face is a moisturizer, it’s still important to do so remove dust and impurities which are found on the surface of the skin when you remove makeup. And this, every day! The risks ? Seeing your pores clog, your complexion blur and blemishes appear…

Milk, foam, oil, conditioner… all textures are welcome as long as you start your routine with this step. The rest depends on what you prefer.

Second step: the detergent

Over the years we have understood that removing makeup alone is not enough to achieve perfectly clear skin. To clean lipophilic and hydrophilic impurities, it is necessary complete the first step by adding detergent dedicated to your skin problems. And that, my friends, is called double cleansing.

Third step: exfoliating

This step is certainly not to be performed every day, but 2 or 3 times a week maximum, if you feel the need.

In terms of formula, choose a chemical exfoliant that can remove impurities without having to damage the hydrolipidic barrier of the epidermis.

If you are wondering what it is for, know that it simply allows you to eliminate dead cells and remaining impurities and allow the skin to absorb 100% of the active ingredients of the treatment.

Step Four: Lotion

The lotion will arrive remove limescale which could be on your beautiful face. It will also help prepare your skin to receive the treatments that follow.

This is a gesture that may seem useless at first, but which, if you have a particular skin problem, will allow you to transform your routine into a virtuous circle for more beautiful skin in the long term.

Fifth step: eye cream

The cream dedicated to the eye contour is the first targeted treatment to be applied to the skin. Preferred if you have problems with bags and stubborn dark circles (fine dehydration wrinkles even around the eyes), it is a treatment suitable for this sensitive area that will delicately pamper the eyes.

And if you don’t have particular problems in this area, the product will simply serve to keep it hydrated so delay the appearance of the first wrinkles as much as possible.

Sixth step: the serum

Always oriented towards the problem that bothers you, the serum has with a more fluid consistency just a cream and it is highly concentrated in active ingredients. Simply put, it is the Rolls-Royce of treatments, the one that changes the rules of the game and brings maximum benefits at the same time.

Apply under your day cream on damp skin, it will act in a complementary way with the latter and will give your epidermis the care it deserves.

Seventh step: day/night cream

FINALLY. Yes, it’s true, it’s long having to scroll through an entire article to get to the part that interests us the most. But once in front of the mirror, everything will go much faster. So here we are at the day/night cream.

The latter is there to do it provide the hydration your skin needs. And if you’re wondering, YES, it’s essential and this, even if you have oily skin. Because the skin barrier requires a fairly substantial supply of water and fats to act as a barrier against external aggressions.

Eighth and final step: SPF

Hey hey, don’t leave so quickly! It’s not completely finished. Last but not least, the last product in your routine turns out to be an important one and it’s called SPF. His work? Protect your skin from UVA and UVB rays that are prevalent even when the weather is not nice.

Whether you choose one instead chemical or mineral formula, This product should be applied as the last step, just to protect you completely. And don’t hesitate to reapply it several times during the day, it never hurts.

It’s obvious that you’re doing what you want with your skin. This article is right a guide you can rely on when you have doubts about the succession of multiple treatments you want to apply! On that note, happy to help!
