The easy (and quick) recipe from the almond financiers

Hey, isn’t it time for a snack? Come on, let’s be financiers (and then, it rhymes).

Do you know the financiers? I’m not talking here about the guys in suits who love capitalism a little too much and who invade line 1 of the Paris metro towards La Défense during rush hour. No, much nicer, I’m telling you about these soft cakes that are devoured very, very quickly and which have an incredible almond flavour. Do you have the recipe? Come on ok, I’ll give it to you.

The almond financiers recipe for a snack

To make this recipe you will need:

  • 50 g of flour
  • 125 g of sugar
  • 75 g of butter
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 50 g of almonds

First, start with preheat the oven to 200°C. Then, in a salad bowl, mix the sugar, flour, powder and almonds and vanilla. Grab your electric mixer (or whisk, but good luck) and Beat the eggs until stiff. Gently incorporate them into the mixture, without making any brute force. Finally, do it Melt the butter into the pan and hello, add everything else. All right ? Well, now all that’s left to do is put the dough into the financier molds and put in the oven for 15/20 minutes.

And if you want to shake things up a bit, you can add the raspberries in the dough, or pieces of pistachio, it will be absolutely delicious!
