Gwyneth Paltrow introduced the diaper made from natural alpaca wool with amber from the Goop store on Instagram*. Expensive diapers caused harsh criticism from netizens, but later the actress revealed that it was fake and she did not plan to put this product on sale.

In a post, Gwyneth Paltrow said that with such an action she decided to draw public attention to the fact that in 33 US states, diapers are considered a “luxury item” and subject to increased taxes. This leads to the fact that not every third family can afford to buy them.

The actress noted that she was pleased with the reaction of her brand’s new offer.

— said Paltrow on Instagram.

The cost of the diaper was $120 for 12 pieces. – as much as the annual tax on diapers pays to families.

The actress urged fans and customers of the brand to support a charity that helps children living in poverty.

Earlier, the actress presented a candle in her store Hands From My Vagina (“Hands From My Vagina”), which was released as a campaign to defend women’s reproductive rights. The candle’s release coincided with the 49th anniversary of the US Supreme Court’s decision in the “Roe v. Wade” case, as a result of which women were given the constitutional right to terminate their pregnancies of their own accord.

In addition, Gwyneth Paltrow introduced several unusual products in her store, including the “Smells Like My Vagina” candle, which has become the most famous piece of Paltrow’s fragrance collection.
